The Auschwitz Album

The Auschwitz Album was a project commissioned by the SS and was intended to document activities at the Auschwitz death camp. No one knows the reason for this project, but since the albums discovery, Holocaust historians have been able to learn a lot from the images about what took place in Auschwitz. The Auschwitz Album is currently on exhibit at Yad Veshem, the Holocaust museum in Israel. In this session, students will analyze and discuss images that were taken in Auschwitz, and what we can learn from them today. This session can be tailored for World History or other classes. It can also be offered as a stand-alone workshop. (This program is available Monday-Thursday from 9 AM-4 PM EST.)
